Last week we launched the RSA8 programme for the 4th year with a new set of Year 8 students. Students from across the Family of Academies came to RSA Academy in Tipton to get an insight into Leadership and and learn more about Social Action.
We were privileged to welcome Corin Crane Chief Executive of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce (BCCC). Corin gave an insight into his role and how he represents many businesses across the Black Country in order to alleviate issues and problems the businesses may face in the region, such as transport and recruitment. Very often this may include lobbying and campaigning for change.
Students also learned about Social Action and how young people are able to make changes in their community and lives through working together for a common cause.
Next month, RSA8 students will be visiting Ipsley to take part in a ‘Confident Communication’ masterclass and then onto Whitley Academy and University of Warwick respectively in order to complete their Leadership Training.
Well done to the 10 students representing us, they will one day be great leaders!
