The RSA Academy had its best results at both GCSE and Post 16 in 2014.
The highlights at GCSE are:
- 59% of students gained 5 A*-C grade at GCSE, including English and maths.
- 12% of students gained the eBACC cluster of GCSEs.
- 88% of students made the expected progress in English and 65% of students made expected progress in maths.
At Post 16, one student gained a record 42 marks from a possible 45 in the International Baccalaureate, putting him in the top 5% of students worldwide; one student has gained a place at St Peter’s, Oxford to read English – the first in Sandwell for many years. All Post 16 students gained places at their choice of university.
The International Baccalaureate is an internationally acclaimed examination and the Diploma is equivalent to 5 A Levels – a gold standard qualification welcomed by the world’s leading universities.
