This year the RSA Academy student media team beat off fierce competition from many other schools to be selected to film, photograph and write about the Secondary Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) National 2010 conference at the ICC in Birmingham. This is an international conference attended by over 1000 headteachers and senior staff from schools all over the country. Students

On 21 March a group of our BTEC Hospitality students worked alongside the head chef from Mint Restaurant in Yardley to produce chicken curry, rice and dahl. Their parents watched as the meal was produced in the Academy’s professional kitchen and was then enjoyed by all!

The Olympic dream comes to Tipton!
Students at the RSA Academy are getting involved with the 2012 London Olympics. ‘Making Links’ is a project which is heavily subsidised by the Olympics. The aim is to make sure that the impact of the 2012 London Olympics is felt in all parts of the country and that a legacy is left behind.
